Kirkland goes quiet on profits, DLA Piper adds an O'Melveny IP pair
DLA Piper added two O'Melveny & Myers intellectual property litigators in DC, who join as partners. One joins as co-head of DLA Piper's US ITC practice. The other leads their life sciences patent litigation practice. Baker Donelson promoted their financial services chair to president and COO, starting next May. Polsinelli named a new restructuring chair. They also rebranded the practice as restructuring and strategic capital.
On the business side, Bloomberg Law reports Kirkland & Ellis will no longer disclose revenue and profits to the media, according to a letter the firm sent to The American Lawyer. Kirkland's letter says public reporting of those numbers "does not provide meaningful value to our clients." The New York Law Journal reports Debevoise & Plimpton charges $150,000 for a six-month beta of their STAAR AI advisory platform. That pricing changes when version 3.0 launches next year.
