Davis Polk takes Skadden's media deals head, WilmerHale lands a Latham restructuring partner
Davis Polk & Wardwell poached a Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates media and entertainment partner in Los Angeles, who joins Davis Polk's M&A practice. He headed Skadden's global media and entertainment practice. WilmerHale poached a Latham & Watkins restructuring partner in New York, who joins as chair of WilmerHale's transactional bankruptcy and financial restructuring practice. Linklaters hired a Paul Hastings international arbitration lawyer in DC to lead Linklaters' Latin American arbitration practice. In Chicago, Dechert LLP added a financial restructuring partner and Taft added a private client partner. Holland & Knight hired a Morgan Lewis M&A lawyer in Philadelphia, who joins as a partner in Holland & Knight's M&A and private equity practices. Jones Day added an intellectual property partner in San Francisco. Cozen O'Connor brought in a real estate lawyer from AmTrust Title Insurance Company in Miami, who joins as a member of Cozen's international real estate practice. Squire Patton Boggs added two principals to its global public policy practice in DC. The American Lawyer reports Foley Hoag announced three hires in Denver in intellectual property, life sciences, and emerging companies and venture capital.
On the business side, Bloomberg Law reports the Justice Department asked a DC federal judge to keep records from the EEOC's 2025 diversity probe of top law firms out of public view.
