Proskauer Rose poached the co-chair of Goodwin Procter's appellate and Supreme Court litigation practice in DC. She joins as a partner and will co-head their compensation and benefits litigation practice. Sidley Austin is bringing in a Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz tax partner in New York to co-head their tax practice. Sidley says she is the third tax partner to join them this year. Norton Rose Fulbright poached the managing partner of Crowell & Moring's Chicago office, who joins their product liability and consumer disputes practice. Jenner & Block took a Crowell & Moring partner in DC for their energy practice. Willkie Farr & Gallagher is adding a liability management partner in New York who will chair their liability management and strategic credit practice. King & Spalding poached a Cooley business litigation partner in New York. Sheppard Mullin poached a McDermott Will & Schulte outsourcing partner in Dallas. Mayer Brown added a trade finance partner in New York, hired from Jones Day. Holland & Knight added a private equity M&A partner in Tysons, Virginia, hired from Hogan Lovells Cadwalader. Foley & Lardner added two corporate partners, one in insurance in Chicago and one in tax in Boston hired from Goodwin Procter. Ogletree Deakins added a cybersecurity and data privacy shareholder in Chicago, hired from Fisher Phillips. Ashurst Perkins Coie added a trademark and advertising litigation partner in New York. Cozen O'Connor added a trusts and estates member in Minneapolis, hired from Best & Flanagan.

On the business side, Bloomberg Law reports Husch Blackwell defeated a former partner's lawsuit claiming the firm held back employees' 401(k) contributions to cover operating expenses. The judge found the disputed contributions were mandatory partner profit-sharing contributions, not employee salary deferrals.
