Norton Rose Fulbright Takes Mintz's Sports Practice Chair in New York

Norton Rose Fulbright hired the chair of Mintz's sports and entertainment practice as a partner in New York, naming him US Head of Sports Capital and Transactions and New York Head of Private Equity. The firm says he is its sixteenth lateral partner with a transactions focus in 2026, a month after it added a Chicago M&A partner who also has sports industry experience. Kirkland & Ellis is adding a first-chair trial lawyer in Boston who advises Fortune 500 companies, private equity investors and executives in corporate disputes, including False Claims Act matters. He spent 18 years at Ropes & Gray before founding his own boutique in 2022. Troutman Pepper Locke poached an ArentFox Schiff real estate partner in Boston with a national practice spanning more than 40 states. Littler brought in an Ogletree Deakins employment shareholder in Las Vegas who was one of the three shareholders who opened that office in January 2010. Foley & Lardner added a life sciences transactions partner in San Diego, hired from Cooley LLP after three decades there. Foley says it is the firm's sixth partner addition in California this year and its fourth in its Intellectual Property Department.
