Greenberg Traurig grabs Venable's real estate chair in DC
Greenberg Traurig poached the chair of Venable's real estate group in DC to lead its DC metro real estate practice, one day after the firm added a real estate partner from Loeb & Loeb in New York. Lowenstein Sandler poached a Mintz capital markets partner in New York. King & Spalding hired a Nixon Peabody healthcare litigation partner in Los Angeles, and Nixon Peabody brought in the head of ArentFox Schiff's music practice, who joins as a partner in Boston and New York.
On the business side, Davis Polk & Wardwell is suing a former energy client in New York for $3.2 million in unpaid fees. The firm withdrew from the case, and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher now represents the client.
