Sidley lifts an 11 lawyer fund finance team out of the new Hogan Lovells Cadwalader
Sidley Austin picked up an 11 lawyer fund finance team from the newly formed Hogan Lovells Cadwalader in New York, led by two partners, one of them the co-head of the fund finance practice, with three counsel and six associates following them over. A&O Shearman hired an M&A and private equity partner away from Sidley Austin in Los Angeles, who will also serve as managing partner of the LA office and is returning to the firm where she started her career. Morgan Lewis & Bockius took an energy and infrastructure partner from McGuireWoods in Houston, and DLA Piper added an employment partner to its corporate transactions team in New York. On the combination side, Balch & Bingham absorbed all six attorneys of the Birmingham banking and real estate boutique Compton Jones Dresher, three partners and three counsel, effective August 1.
