Greenberg Traurig poached the leader of Blank Rome's business litigation group, a founding partner of that firm's Chicago office, as a shareholder across Denver and New York, bringing financial services, commercial and real estate litigation with him. Washington took most of the rest of the wire. Fox Rothschild hired an FDA regulatory lawyer from BakerHostetler who joins as a partner there, Orrick brought in a financial services and fintech partner from Cooley, Bracewell picked up the fraud and cybercrime chief from the US Attorney's office in Manhattan as a partner in New York, and Polsinelli added a behavioral health care shareholder in Nashville.

On the business side, DLA Piper is launching a congressional investigations practice this week as clients brace for an oversight wave in the new Congress, and Tom Goldstein, the Supreme Court litigator and SCOTUSblog co-founder, was sentenced Friday to six years in prison with $3.1 million in restitution.
