A finance co-head is reportedly headed to Dechert, and state AGs circle the Paramount deal
According to sources with knowledge of the situation, Dechert is set to land Ropes and Gray's global finance co-head to launch a new capital solutions practice.
On the wire, DLA Piper added a private equity partner in New York.
The bigger headline is in the courts, where California's attorneys general are reportedly looking at two former FTC lawyers at Milbank to help challenge Paramount's roughly $110 billion takeover of Warner Bros. Ford also sued the Los Angeles firm Quill and Arrow, accusing it of defrauding the company out of tens of millions in legal fees through California's car warranty law.
