Skadden lifts an investment management group out of Akin, and funds hiring runs hot

Busy day on the lateral wire. Skadden poached a three-partner investment management group out of Akin Gump, and New York kept rolling: Simpson Thacher added a secondaries partner, Cadwalader a finance partner, Paul Weiss an executive compensation partner, and Milbank and Holland & Knight each brought on a tax partner. BakerHostetler added two international tax partners in Washington, where BCLP also picked up a litigation and investigations partner.

On the deal side, Weil guided Fox on its roughly twenty-two billion dollar agreement to buy Roku, with Goodwin advising Roku.
